Google drive is a great way to organize and share documents with other teachers. All parties can easily access and edit the documents without having them on their computers. Google hangouts is a great tool to use to collaborate and communicate with people all over the world. Students can have conversations with people they wouldn't normally have access to through the use of this interactive tool.
I agree with you about using google hangouts for students to connect with other people from around the world. I had the same idea.
